The train speeding toward the north, the green hills outside the window constantly passing in front of us. However, my mind is still thrown in the just past “Zhijiang International Peace Culture Festival” moving scenes. Zhijiang, a small town inhabited by the Dongs in western Hunan, was once a battlefield where China fought a fierce battle against Japan’s aggression and was once the place where the Japanese army eventually had to send representatives to surrender unconditionally to China. A small town, overnight, became a world famous city. Today, on the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the victory of the world anti-fascist war, here again it has become the focus of attention attracting over-confidence with the war both at home and abroad
