Switzerland is a fascinating country that com-bines the peaceful coexistence of naturewith modernization, extravagance with ancientsimplicity, and quietness with passion. Ancientbuildings, quiet alleys, foggy Pilatus, fashionableclothing stores, luxury jewelry shops, and sweet-smelling cafes altogether constitute a fantasticenvironment.Zurich, a city mostly favored by swans,occupies an important position in Switzerland,rather like Shanghai in China. The Limay Riverand Zurich Lake are among the clearest in theworld. Swarms of white swans and pigeonsplay with each other here without any worriesor cares, and beautiful sailboats can be seenon the lake, while the chimes of the clock onthe steeple of the cathedral sounds far away.Th e o ld urban areas o f Zurich extendalong the Limay River.
