In this paper, the distribution and fracture characteristics of the neck of a low-carbon dual-phase steel with 0.11% C tensile specimen were investigated. The density of the cross-section and the change of its average diameter with the distance under the fracture were measured. The results show that the quenching and tempering have a significant effect on the distribution of holes and the fracture process. This provides evidence for the variation of the tensile properties of low-carbon dual-phase steels with the heat treatment specifications [9].
