This article discusses the structure and performance of Ge (Li) probes for gamma-ray logging. The probe is cylindrical, 8.9 cm in diameter and 160 cm long. The probe is equipped with a volume of 22 cm. Coaxial Ge (Li) detector. The detector is cooled with liquid nitrogen. After the probe is installed, keep it for more than 10 hours. The energy resolution of the probe is 2.3 keV (for 122 keV photons) and 2.6 keV (for 1333 keV photons). This probe has been used to study the neutron activation spectrum in the ground experiments and drilling models of the Landstuart uranium mine. This article presents the experimental results and discusses them. It should be emphasized that the Ge (Li) probe will be a useful tool for drilling activation analysis.
