船闸是靠闸室充水和放水来调节航道水位,以实现船只通航的建筑物。由上游航道向闸室充水以及由闸室向下游放水,分别通过设于上、下闸首的输水廊道,并由廊道闸门控制。在正常设计通航水位条件下,输水过程决定于廊道门过流面积、闸门开启速度和闸室面积。输水过程,主要是输水时间和最大瞬时流量,对船闸通航效率和船只安全
