吴德峰,中共早期革命家,湖北保康人,1922年参加革命,1924年加入中国共产党,9月任中共武汉地区委员会委员兼军委书记。吴德峰长期从事和领导党的地下工作,是“隐秘战线的卓越领导人”(王震语)。他曾是大革命时期武汉国民政府的公安局长。新中国成立初期在武汉发现的国民党刊物上,曾这样描述他——“中共特务三大亨,犹若孺子是康生,喜怒无常李克农,老奸巨猾吴德峰”。他历任中共中央交通局局长、中央政治保卫局江西省分局局长、湘赣省保卫局局长、红六军团和红二方面军保卫局局长等重要职务。1937年到西安发展和领导党的地下工作。1946年任北平军调处执行部秘书、武汉执行组顾问,后历任晋察冀中央局敌工部部长兼阜平县委书记(纠偏)、郑州市委书记。1949年5月24日,武汉市人民政府成立,吴德峰出任新生的武汉市人民政府的第一任市长。后历任国务院政法办副主任,最高法院常务副院长、党组副书记,政法学会会长、党组书记。1976年12月11日在北京逝世。
Wu Defeng, an early revolutionary of the Communist Party of China and a member of Baokang in Hubei Province, joined the revolution in 1922 and joined the Communist Party of China in 1924. In September, he was appointed member of the Wuhan Regional Committee of the CPC and secretary of the Central Military Commission. Wu Defeng has long been engaged in and led the Party’s underground work and is “an outstanding leader of the hidden front” (Wang Zhen language). He was the Public Security Bureau chief of the Wuhan National Government during the Great Revolution. In the early days of the founding of new China, the Kuomintang publications discovered by Wuhan once described him as “the tycoon of the CCP, the tycoon. It is still like Kang Zisheng, Kang Sik-moody, Li Ke-nong, and old-fashioned Wu De-feng.” He served as Director of the Transportation Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of the Central Political Security Bureau, Director of the Security Bureau of Hunan Province and Jiangxi Province, Secretary-General of the Hongliuliu Corps and the Red Army Corps of Defense of the Second Corps. To Xi’an in 1937 to develop and lead the party’s underground work. In 1946 Ren Peiping military mediation Department Executive Secretary, Wuhan Implementation Group consultant, successively served as Jin Cha Ji Central Bureau of hostile labor minister and Fuping county party secretary (correction), Zhengzhou municipal Party committee secretary. On May 24, 1949, Wuhan Municipal People’s Government was established and Wu Defeng served as the first mayor of the newly established Wuhan Municipal People’s Government. After serving as deputy director of the Political and Law Office of the State Council, executive vice president of the Supreme Court, deputy party secretary, political science and law society president, party secretary. December 11, 1976 passed away in Beijing.
