刘慎谔先生足迹遍中国,不仅对植物分类有研究和创作,而对森林生态和地植物学也很有研究。当我学习了刘先生这篇论文后,使我收获很大。第一,我对森林更新的理论又提高一步;第二,丰富了我对祖国东北地区主要树种——红松、落叶松——生物学特性和生态特性。因为刘先生在他的论文中指出:森林更新研究工作必须建立在植物生态和地植物学的基础上,而不应该看成是一种单纯的林业技术问题。并提到采伐方式对森林更新问题起着决定性的作用。所以研究森林更新问题,需要讨论森林的采伐方式。总的说来,研究森林更新问题,不能单纯的强调提高技术;强调机械化;强调生物
Mr. Liu Shenzuo traveled all over China, not only for research and creation of plant taxonomy, but also for forest ecology and botany. After I studied Mr. Liu’s thesis, I learned a great deal. First, I have taken a step forward in the theory of renewal of forests. Second, I have enriched the biological characteristics and ecological characteristics of the major tree species in northeastern China - korean pine and larch. Because Mr. Liu pointed out in his dissertation that the work of forest renewal research must be based on plant ecology and botany, and should not be regarded as a simple forestry technology issue. And mentioned that harvesting methods play a decisive role in forest renewal. Therefore, the study of the issue of forest regeneration, the need to discuss the harvesting of forests.
