西安唐皇城墙含光门遗址博物馆,是在原隋唐含光门遗址基础上建立的一座集遗址保护、专题陈列于一体的专题性博物馆,建于明清城墙的内部。将千年历史齐聚于一室的含光门博物馆建筑面积达4000平方米,于2008年9月26日正式对外开放,刚刚度过5周年华诞。作为遗址类博物馆,含光门博物馆主要有含光门门道、城墙断面和隋唐过水涵洞三处遗址,另有以城墙发展为主题的唐长安城和中国城墙发展史两个专题陈列,以及明清古建构建基本陈列。此外,该馆还设有一些丰富多彩的临时陈列展,是对基本陈列以及专题陈列的补充,具有周期短、内容新、灵活性强等特点。
