辽宁省是我国的文物大省之一,地上地下的文物资源十分丰富。中华人民共和国成立以来,特别是改革开放后,随着文物考古事业的蓬勃发展,一大批重要古代遗址被揭露。出土的众多精美珍贵的文物重新诉说着“辽河”的历史。20世纪80年代以来,以营口全牛山、阜新查海和朝阳牛河梁等遗址的发掘为代表,“辽河文明”作为“中华文明”的重要源头之一已为众多学者所认可。以朝阳牛河梁“坛庙冢”为代表的“中华五千年文明曙光”已享誉海内外。 2006年6月,由这些考古成就浓缩成的“辽河文明展”作为辽宁省博物馆新馆开馆第二期展览被隆重推出。此次展览得到辽宁省文物考古研究所和全省各市地文物单位的大力支持,汇聚了全省建国以来的各项重大考古发现和珍贵文物。

Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, especially after the reform and opening up, with the vigorous development of archeological and archeological undertakings, a large number of important ancient ruins have been exposed. Unearthed many beautiful and precious relics tell the history of “Liaohe”. Since the 1980s, the excavation of sites such as Quanjiushan in Yingkou, Chahahai in Chaoyang and Niuheliang in Chaoyang has been represented. As one of the important sources of “Chinese civilization”, “Liaohe Civilization” has been approved by many scholars. The “dawn of five thousand years of civilization” represented by the Niuheliang Beam “Temple Mound” represented by the Chaoyang District has enjoyed a good reputation both at home and abroad. In June 2006, “Liaohe Civilization Exhibition”, which was enriched by these archaeological achievements, was grandly launched as the second exhibition of the opening of the new Museum of Liaoning Province. The exhibition was supported by the Liaoning Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology and various cultural relics units of various cities in the province, bringing together all major archaeological discoveries and precious relics since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
