在加工小型轴类零件时,往往采用弹黄夹头来夹紧工件。所谓弹簧夹头实际上就是一个具有三条轴向槽的弹簧套筒,其头部形状是圆锥体,在轴向力的作用下,弹簧套简收缩,从而对工件进行定位夹紧。在使用中,圆锥体弹簧夹头有以下缺点:圆锥体开槽后,槽口处便形成了带有前角的刃口。当弹簧夹头夹紧工件时,圆锥面上的受力集中在三条槽口附近(见图1),这时,刃口就会稍微切入与夹头配合的锥面。长期使用会破坏配合锥孔的表面,影响定位精度。其次是摩擦力增加,影响弹簧夹头的夹紧和松开。其三是弹簧夹头扇形爪的移动方向与夹紧力方向成一角
