以湖北省长江河道堤防工程管理三维仿真系统开发为背景,介绍基于ArcEngine的大数据量河道三维仿真系统的设计与实现。采用地理信息系统技术、遥感技术、虚拟现实技术、数据库技术、多媒体技术、互联网技术、面向对象系统设计与分析技术,使系统具有体系结构清晰合理、技术先进、扩展性好、查询方便、三维场景数据量大、功能强大等特点,能有效地为长江堤防管理单位的高效管理、研究和规划服务,提升湖北省河道堤防管理的现代化管理水平,加快以“数字长江”为目标的信息化建设步伐,对其他大数据量三维地理信息系统的实现具有较高的参考价值。
