Indiscrimination is one of the basic characteristics of literary language. However, literary and non-literary are not dualistic. Real art needs to include two aspects: internal fingering and external fingering. Although inherent rationality usually serves as a basis for literary criticism practice, the contradictory unity of the inner and outer fingers poses challenges for readers’ acceptance of literary works. Based on the contradictory and unity relations between the inner and outer fingers of the literary language, this article expounds the controversial comments on “I’m not Pan Jinlian”. This paper argues that what is fundamentally needed is not the blending of the inner and outer fingers, but the complicity of the reader and the author, efforts to approach the writer’s intention of creation, and to dig out the author’s ideas and creative ideas.
