1981年9月,由云南省博物馆张兴永,肖明华、徐康宁、周瑞庆、杨天佑,临沧行署图书馆吴学明,沧源县文教局李西平和县文化馆李学宏等同志联合组成沧源崖画调查组,在对沧源丁来崖画调查时,在其崖画所在的崖厦下,发现有灰烬、烧土的堆积,并有农民取土做肥留下的七个大小不等的坑。为了弄清这些堆积,开了一个2×3米的探方(T1),出土了一件磨制的石标枪头(或矛头)和几片陶片。
In September 1981, Cangyuan Cliff Painting Investigation Team composed of Yunnan Provincial Museum Zhang Xingyong, Xiao Minghua, Xu Kangning, Zhou Ruiqing, Yang Tianyou, Lincang Administrative Bureau Library Wu Xueming, Cangyuan County Culture and Education Bureau Li Xiping and Li Xuehong, When Cailuan Dilai cliff paintings were surveyed, there were ashes and burnt soil accumulation in the cliffs where the cliff paintings were located, and seven pitches of different sizes left by the peasants taking soil and making fertilizer were found. In order to clarify these deposits, a 2 x 3 m probe (T1) was opened, and a polished stone bolter (or spear) and several pieces of pottery were excavated.
