水体含沙量是计算淤泥质航道泥沙淤积强度的一个重要参数。依据三场大风浪期间的含沙量、潮流速、流向、波高和波向等实测资料,分析了含沙量与动力条件随时间的变化过程。结果表明大风浪过程中的含沙量垂线分布与正常天气下的有着本质区别,采用挟沙力公式计算的挟沙力均值可以用来代表风浪期间的平均含沙量,但难以反映含沙量的实际变化过程。含沙量除受波高、流速影响外,还在很大程度上受流向与波浪传播方向的夹角的影响,以及床面泥沙特性的影响。床面泥沙特性在风浪过程中不断变化造成了仅考虑动力条件的挟沙力与实际含沙量的较大差别。
