Virginia Woolf is the representative writer of the British stream of consciousness novel. Mrs. Dalloway outlines the symptoms of human ecology in the first half of the twentieth century, namely loneliness, snobbishness and helplessness. Through loneliness, snobbishness and helplessness, the text promotes the ideal inter-subjectivity: the romantic love concept based on attachment and respect; the secular friendship concept based on identity and understanding; and the real life concept based on peace and freedom. From the symptom of group ecology to the ideal intersubjectivity, the implied author of the text proposed a new type of relationship of orderly development of human society.
