铸石是一种新型工业材料。它具有较钢、铁及橡胶更好的耐磨、耐腐蚀性能。铸石板作为耐磨衬护层已为各部门广泛使用。在泄水建筑物中作为抗悬移质磨损,亦取得良好的效果。但铸石板直接作为泄水建筑物的抗冲耐磨材料,存在被推移质砸碎冲走的问题。把铸石作为抗冲耐磨混凝土骨料,浇筑铸石混凝土,既保留铸石的耐磨性能,又在很大程度上克服上述缺点,为铸石作为泄水建筑物的抗冲耐磨材料广泛使用提供了可能性。
