The influence of the change of heating medium flow on the temperature distribution of curing drum of Φ2000mm × 3200mm drum vulcanizer was studied by FLOTRAN141 unit of large finite element program ANSYS5.5. The results show that the simulation results are in accordance with the actual situation. For the heating medium entering the jacket from one end of the curing drum and flowing out from the other end, the maximum temperature difference of the drumhead is not more than 5 ℃, and the heating medium flow rate is 200m3 / min. Too much heating medium flow can lead to excessive energy loss and thus uneconomical
