介绍了一种基于液晶电控双折射效应的可调光衰减器,通过理论计算和实验研究对其光强调节性能,特别是调节的动态范围进行了分析。结果表明,这种可调激光衰减器控制电压低、动态范围大、调节精度高;通过选择合适的控制电压区间,可以在宽波段范围内实现对任意波长激光的光强连续调节,因此在光纤通信、光电检测等领域具有广泛的应用前景。
A tunable optical attenuator based on the electrically controlled birefringence effect is introduced. Its light intensity adjustment performance, especially the dynamic range of adjustment, is analyzed by theoretical calculations and experimental studies. The results show that the tunable laser attenuator has low control voltage, large dynamic range and high regulation precision. By selecting suitable control voltage interval, the light intensity of any wavelength laser can be continuously adjusted over a wide wavelength range.
