3,4—二甲酚是制备农药灭杀威的一种中间体,在制备灭杀威过程中,其碱熔和缩合两步操作中均产生含有8,4—二甲酚的污水。经研究,我们选用福林—酚试剂法测定污水中3,4—二甲酚含量,效果令人满意。含苯酚污水一般用4—氨基安替比林法(4—AAP),但含有对位取代基的酚与该试剂不发生显色反应。可采用3—甲基2—苯并噻唑腙(即MBTH)比色法。但该试剂国内无市销品。
3,4-Xylenol is an intermediate for the preparation of pesticides. In the process of preparation of methomyl, both alkali fusion and condensation processes produce effluent containing 8,4-dimethylphenol. After research, we use the method of Forint-Phenol Determination of 3,4-xylenol content in sewage, the effect is satisfactory. Phenol wastewater is generally treated with 4-aminoantipyrine (4-AAP), but the para-substituted phenol does not undergo a color reaction with the reagent. 3-Methyl 2-benzothiazyl hydrazone (ie MBTH) colorimetry can be used. However, the reagent is not marketed in the country.
