1990～1991年,上海市文物管理委员会考古研究部对寺前遗址进行了发掘。此次发掘共发现崧泽文化墓葬1座、灰坑1个,良渚文化的文化堆积及良渚文化墓葬4座、灰坑2个和水井2口。出土的崧泽文化遗物有陶器、石器和骨器,良渚文化遗物有陶器、石器、玉器和骨器。寺前遗址的发掘,为崧泽和良渚文化的分期提供了新的资料。
From 1990 to 1991, the Archaeological Research Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Cultural Relics Management carried out excavations on the temple site. A total of 1 Songze cultural tombs, 1 gray pit, 2 Liangzhu culture and 4 Liangzhu culture graves, 2 ash pits and 2 wells were collected. Unearthed Songze cultural relics are pottery, stoneware and bone, Liangzhu cultural relics are pottery, stoneware, jade and bone. The excavation of the temple site provides new information for the staging of Songze and Liangzhu culture.
