陕西省水力发电工程学会于九月二十六日至二十七日在西安召开了《重新评价水电经济性》学术讨论会。这次会议的召开,是在中国人民建设银行投资调查部、投资研究所85年2月发表了《重新评价水电的经济性》一文(简称《重评》),提出了“水电经济性不高”;“水电并不廉价”的看法后,许多会员要求学会对此组织专门的学术讨论而举办的。参加会议的有西北电管局等十二个会员单位,四十多位代表。会议还邀请了西北电力设计院、陕西省水利经济研究会等有关同志参加。这次会议由水能规划专业委员会和西勘院规划处分会具体组织和筹办,由学会主持。会上交流论文十三篇,并进行了热烈讨论,印发了会议情况的简报。简报指出: The Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Hydroelectric Power Engineering held a symposium on revaluing the economics of hydropower in Xi’an from September 26 to 27. The meeting was held in February of the same year in the article entitled “Reassessing the economics of hydropower” published by the Investment Investigation Department and Investment Research Institute of the People’s Construction Bank of China (referred to as “Reappraisal”), proposing that “the economic efficiency of hydropower is not high. After the idea that “hydropower is not cheap,” many members asked to learn to organise a special academic discussion. Attending the meeting were 12 members of the Northwest Electric Administration Bureau and more than 40 representatives. The conference also invited relevant comrades such as the Northwest Electric Power Design Institute and Shaanxi Water Resources Economic Research Association to participate. The meeting was organized and organized by the Water Power Planning Professional Committee and the Planning Division of the Western Exploration Institute, and was chaired by the Society.
