Repeated low-dose antigen stimulation can cause asthmatic patients with increased airway responsiveness. The authors used a controlled, crossover experiment to observe the effects of repeated low-dose antigen stimulation on airway inflammation, airway responsiveness and symptoms in patients with mild-to-severe asthma. Eight patients (7 males, 1 females, aged 19-45 years) who did not smoke and had mild allergic asthma who had a history of more than one year were included in the study. Subjects did not have asthma exacerbations and respiratory infections for at least 4 weeks prior to entering the study, did not use β 2 receptor agonists and coffee-containing drinks within 7-8 hours, and allergen screening challenge tests showed rapid and late onset of airway inflammation Dual reactive. Subjects were first challenged with diluted antigen (2 to 16 times lower than the concentration of antigen used in the screening challenge) at 8-10 am for 5 consecutive days prior to and 30 minutes after challenge
