自从有磨损试验以来,不同的试验室磨损试验结果之间缺少一致的对应关系,其差别是由于试验参数、操作条件的差别及操作人员偶尔的误操作等原因所引起的.菲利浦石油公司用一定配方的油,使用四球机和Falex磨损试验机对几种添加剂的抗磨作用进行了比较.试验中两机器均为边界润滑状态下的滑动磨损,但接触的几何图形不同,四球机为球对球的点接触,Falex试验机则产生圆柱对平面的线接触.
