听是人类认识活动和交际活动的基本形式。在英语教学中,听、说、读写四个方面的训练相辅相成,互相促进,要进行全面的训练。根据里弗斯(W.M.Rivers)和坦珀利(MS.Temperly)(1970)的统计,听力占45%,占有极大的比重,说占30%,读占有6%,写占9%。比较而言,听力始终处于基础地位,是学习、吸收语言的重要途径。“语言首先是有声的语言”。听力教学的好坏对于学生英语素质的提升、英语教学水平的提高起到重要的作用.提高听力,不仅有利于说、读、写三项技能的发展,而且也为日常交际打下坚实的基础。本人在多年的教学中发现,听力是学生英语学习中最薄弱的环节之一。因此,如何帮助学生克服听力障碍,提高学生英语听力水平是在初中英语教学中尤其值得重视的问题。
Listening is the basic form of human cognition and communication. In English teaching, listening, speaking, reading and writing four aspects of training complement each other, promote each other, to conduct a comprehensive training. The quality of listening teaching plays an important role in improving students’ English quality and improving their English teaching skills. Improving listening comprehension not only benefits the development of speaking, reading and writing skills, but also lays a solid foundation for daily communication. I found in many years of teaching, listening is one of the weakest links in English learning. Therefore, how to help students overcome hearing impairment and improve their English listening comprehension is a problem that deserves special attention in English teaching in junior high school.
