Van Gogh’s work “Al’s Ballroom”, the French national treasure, has witnessed the friendship between Van Gogh and Gauguin, one of the few cooperative works. The theme of the painting is a festive night in a ballroom frequented by them. Dazzling golden yellow, strange indigo block, pure color, lively atmosphere, a strong contrast to make the space full of sense of saturation, express a peculiar, disturbing and full of psychedelic beauty. Since October 24, 1888, Van Gogh and Gauguin spent 62 days in Alsace, France. As a pure artist, both want to abandon everything and leave the world with “a will of new art.” However, the days they spent together were full of soul-stirring due to their differences in personality and their way of making paintings. Shortly after “Al ’s Ballroom” was completed, the two clashed in desperation and sword - pulling, finally reaching the point where Van Gogh cut his ears (the other said to be cut by Gauguin). “Al’s Ballroom” This multi-creative style of the painting is therefore some more drama.
