Electromagnetic suspension casting method is the latest development of General Electric Co., a continuous casting technology. The method uses an electromagnetic suspension instead of the mold support and holding columnar solidified metal. In order to resist the gravity and static pressure of the metal column, this method eliminates the friction and adsorption between the solidified metal and the contact surface of the cooling wall of the casting container. Suspension casting method can be inherently high casting speed and excellent dimensional control cleverly combined, and can be discharged from the top of the continuous casting solidified products. The most important of these is the electromagnetic field before and during solidification
