The global economic crisis that broke out in 2008 is called the “crisis of a hundred years”. Because many of the features exposed by this crisis are different from those of previous economic crises, we can call them “the new global economic crisis.” The crisis took the subprime mortgage crisis that took place in the United States in 2007 as a guideline and the international economic structure of economic globalization as a medium. It rapidly spread to all countries in the world in the second half of 2008, bringing a huge shadow to the global economic growth. It also poses a great challenge to China’s trade economy in transition. To this end, this article will review several typical economic crises in history and based on the global economic crisis that erupted in 2008. Focusing on the long-term development of China’s trade and economy, we will explore the new global economic crisis and its impact on China’s trade and economy.
