为了倾听广大读者意见,改进、提高刊物质量,1988年51期我们随刊物向读者发出了一份征求意见表,广泛征求各界读者意见。截至1989年2月12日,共收到读者来信562封。我们将来信分类整理、统计,90%属于一般干部,其中,从事行政、宣传工作的干部占有相当的比重。其次是在校大、中学生和教师,共92名。离退休干部占第三位,共27名。其它身份的读者分别为;工人17名、军人13名、领导干部11名、农民9名、高级知识分子7名、个体经营者2名。给本刊来信的领导干部有市政协副主席(原副市长)、厂长、党委书记、经理、支部书记等。 从来信统计情况看,本刊读者的文化层次是比较高的,其中,大专以上文化程度的读者310名,中专以下读者252名。 来信的读者年龄在35岁以上的282人,35岁以下的228人(另外,有52名读者未注明年龄)。其中,年龄最大的86岁,最小的15岁。在所有来信中,无论是年长者,还是年幼者,对本刊的征询都表现出认真、热情的态度。给本刊以高度评价和肯定,也提出许多中肯、有价值的意见和建议。这些意见和建议对改进本刊工作很有参考价值。我们挑选了部分有代表性意见的来信,在此公开发表,以感谢广大读者对本刊的一片热诚。
