汽车给人类社会带来巨大的物质文明,但随之而来的道路交通事故却造成了巨大的人员伤亡和经济损失。据统计,全球每年死于道路交通事故的人数已超过120万;约一亿家庭有成员因道路交通事故致死、致残。世界卫生组织(WHO)预测,到2020年全世界道路交通事故伤年死亡和致残人数将增加60%;在全球疾病负担中,道路交通致伤将会由1999年的第9位跃升至第3位。道路交通致伤已成为对社会发展有极大负面影响的全球性公害,严重威胁人类的生命健康。藉“道路交通事故预防科学与技术发展前沿”研讨会在京召开之际,记者就医学在道路交通安全方面的作用,采访了中国工程院院士、第三军医大学交通医学研究所名誉所长、创伤外科学教授王正国。
Cars bring great material civilization to human society, but the resulting road traffic accidents have caused huge casualties and economic losses. According to statistics, more than 1.2 million people die of road traffic accidents each year in the world. About 100 million members of a family have died as a result of road traffic accidents. The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts that the number of deaths and malays of road traffic injuries in the world will increase by 60% by 2020; and of the global disease burden, road traffic injuries will jumped from the 9th in 1999 to the 3 digits. Road traffic injury has become a global public health hazard that has a tremendous negative impact on social development and poses a serious threat to human life and health. On the occasion of the seminar “Frontiers of Science and Technology in Prevention of Road Traffic Accidents” held in Beijing, the reporter interviewed the academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Honorary Director of the Institute of Communications Medicine of the Third Military Medical University on the role of medicine in road traffic safety.
