词长因素是重要的词内因素之一。本文采用实证方法,选择词长和词性作为自变量,对双音节与多音节名词、动词和形容词的词汇学习效果进行比较:53位被试对240个实验词进行记忆效果测试(将英语词汇译成词性相同的汉语词汇)。测试结果表明词长因素影响英语学习者的词汇学习效果:多音节单词的记忆效果比双音节单词的记忆效果更好,而且不同词类的记忆效果之间存在显著差异。本研究结果对英语词汇的教学有一定的指导意义。
Word length factor is one of the important intra-word factors. In this paper, we use the empirical method, the choice of word length and part of speech as an independent variable, the two-syllable and multi-syllable nouns, verbs and adjectives to compare the vocabulary learning: 53 subjects of 240 experimental words memory effect test (English vocabulary translation The same word Chinese words). The test results show that lexical length factors affect the lexical learning effect of English learners: multi-syllable words have better memory effect than double syllable words, and there are significant differences among different word types. The results of this study have some guiding significance for the teaching of English vocabulary.
