Objective To understand the changes of zinc, copper and selenium in nephropathy model. Methods A rat model of nephropathy was established by injecting doxorubicin into the tail vein of rats. The control group received the same amount of saline. At the experiment d14, 24 hours urine was taken to kill the blood and the kidneys for the determination of zinc, copper, selenium and other related indexes. Results The animals in the model group showed changes similar to the minimal pathological changes of human nephropathy. At the same time, the contents of zinc and selenium in the serum and kidney tissues were significantly lower than those in the control group, while the changes in copper did not change. Conclusions The reduction of zinc and selenium is closely related to some pathological changes of nephropathy. It is necessary to monitor and supplement zinc and selenium in clinical nephropathy
