平板玻璃产品无论透明玻璃还是镜面玻璃,对其质量的要求愈高,则愈迫切地需要可靠地、及早地进行表面检验,以及时鉴别缺陷、不均匀性、不清洁性,如夹杂、刮痕、拉痕、压痕、碎裂、叶蝨点等……。下一个问题是,应该如何进行检验。对正在运行的玻璃材料平面,进行直观的检验,就要求观察者保持高度的警觉和高度注意力集中,而在一定时间内,观察者的注意力松懈是难免的。真正可靠的方法是彻底采用机械方法,或者采用自动检验方法,这二种方法带来两个优点:第一,不需检验人员;第二,由于检验鉴别过程比较客观,次品确有明显的减少。
