Take Actions to Save Water
As we all know， water is very important to us， because water is the resource of life. Every day not only people， but also plants and animals need water， but① there’s no life without water on the earth.
However， some people seem not to realize the importance of water in our daily life， and waste too much water every day. Some people keep the water running all the time when they wash clothes. Some of them even forget turning off② the tap after washing. Sometimes， some people use too much water taking a bath. Some people get too much boiled water but drink only a little and then pour most of it onto the ground.
In fact water resource is limited on the earth. I think it is time for us to take actions to save water as much as possible. If not， I’m afraid the last drops of water on the earth will be man’s tears！In order to save water， I have some advices③. First， it is important to realize how precious water is to man. Second， we should turn off the tap after washing. Third， we should make good use of every drop of water. And most of all， we should develop a good living habit in our daily life. Saving water is saving ourselves. Now let’s do all we can to save water.

1. 优点：
小作者首先阐述了水的重要性，接着指出在现实生活中存在一些浪费水的现象，最后提出了自己关于节约用水的建议。该习作用词准确，思路清晰，段落分明，层次感强；句型富于变化，简单句、并列句和复合句交替使用，做到了学以致用。某些固定句型的熟练使用，给习作增加了亮点。
2. 需要修改的地方
①but改为so。根据语境和上下文不难看出这里是因果关系。
②turning off改为to turn off。forget doing表示“忘记曾经做过某事”，而forget to do表示“忘记去做某事”。
③advices改为advice。advice是不可数名词，没有复数形式。
3. 评分
按照中考英语作文满分20分的标准，本文修改前可得18分。

Take Actions to Save Water
As we all know， water is very important to us， because water is the resource of life. Every day not only people， but also plants and animals need water， but① there’s no life without water on the earth.
However， some people seem not to realize the importance of water in our daily life， and waste too much water every day. Some people keep the water running all the time when they wash clothes.
