近年来,为适应小批量多品种的生产特点,广泛应用了组合冲模和锌合金模。这两种模具各有各的特点和一定的适用范围,但也有它的不足之处。组合冲模由冲压元件(开口件)、基础元件、定位元件,卸料元件和导向元件组成。由于受冲压元件之限制,只能解决一般形状的冲裁,复杂形状的冲件,必须分成若干道工序冲制而成,而且需要有一整套不同规格之元件,元件又必须能互换,所以制造成本高。锌合金模是一种简易模具,它只要制造一只凸模,凹模由锌合金铸成。但是,它仍需制造模座,卸料板等零件,或采用通用模架。
