Paul Ableman, 1927-2006, a Jewish-born, half-breed Russian who, as a freelancer, leaves many highly memorable pieces in both novels and theatrical. His plays include humor and fun, reflecting how the two youngsters Green Julia (1966), a short story “experiment” (1966) for Peter Brock’s brutal drama, and “Blue Drama: The Deep Love, Nightingale” (1968). “Experiment” is the most famous drama of Eliman and it overturns the drama structure and narrative logic of traditional drama and constructs a unique framework of formal creation.
