人们常说文化是企业的灵魂。领导者在企业文化发展和演变的过程中扮演着怎样的角色,是企业一直以来不断思考和探讨的话题。美国组织文化学家埃德加·沙因的观点认为,领导是企业文化的创造者和管理者。领导者在建立组织的同时将价值观和文化假设注入新的组织,随着组织的发展、壮大、成功,初始文化自然而然成为被认可的文化基调。而随着外界环境的改变,初始的某些文化假设可能不再适应新的环境,当组织因此陷入困境时,领导者又需要敏锐洞察旧文化的局限性,对其进行修正,带领组织适应变革。因此,企业文化是动态的,是不断演化的,领导者既是企业文化的创建者,同时也是管理者与传播者,必要时还需要成为文化的变革者。
People often say that culture is the soul of an enterprise. What role the leader plays in the development and evolution of corporate culture is a topic that enterprises have been thinking and discussing constantly. According to Edgar Shain, the American organizational culture scientist, leadership is the creator and manager of a corporate culture. As leaders set up their organizations, they inject new values and cultural assumptions into the new organization. As the organization grows, grows, succeeds and the initial culture naturally becomes a recognized cultural tone. As the external environment changes, some of the initial cultural assumptions may no longer adapt to the new environment. When the organization is in trouble, the leaders need to be sensitive about the limitations of the old culture, correct it and lead the organization to adapt to the changes . Therefore, the corporate culture is dynamic and evolving. Leaders are not only the creators of corporate culture, but also managers and communicators, and need to become cultural innovators when necessary.
