哈佛燕京图书馆藏《文渊殿》二十七出,上下两卷,清抄本。九行行二十字,四边双栏,楷体。国内综合性或专业性文学艺术类工具书均无著录,当为海内仅存孤本。此书原为海宁人查有圻(1775—1827)藏书,嗣为燕京大学图书馆所藏,最后飘洋过海移藏哈佛燕京图书馆。有圻祖上在天津长芦以盐务起家,家门鼎盛,交通朝贵,显赫无比,故俗呼曰“查(遮)半天”。京剧有《潘查斗胜》,演的就是潘氏和查氏斗富的故事。后因盐价为京官所劾而治罪,家业始败,一蹶不振,收藏的图书文物,渐渐易手。剧演吕后称制纂权,计芟刘氏,终为刘氏所败的故事。本事出自《史记》,但有较大的改动。考此剧“玄”字缺笔,避康熙名讳,且使用“文渊殿”、“东、西厂”、“广信府”等明代始有的机构和地名,作品作于明末清初的可能性较大,但也不排除作于康熙中后期的可能。
