本文报道了我们在40Gb/s时分复用(OTDM)光通信系统中进行的偏振模色散(PMD)两阶段自适应补偿实验。实验采用了基于偏振度(DOP)的PMD反馈监测技术,使用粒子群优化(PSO)算法作为自适应补偿单元的控制算法。实验结果显示:PMD两阶段补偿器可以同时补偿一阶和二阶PMD,而且不依赖于码速率,搜索补偿时间小于100毫秒。
In this paper, we report the two-stage PMD adaptive compensation experiment in the 40Gb / s OTDM optical communication system. PMD feedback monitoring technique based on polarization degree (DOP) was used in experiments, and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm was used as control algorithm of adaptive compensation unit. The experimental results show that the PMD two-stage compensator can compensate the first-order and second-order PMDs simultaneously, and the search compensation time is less than 100ms independent of the code rate.
