通过对中国知网学术文献总库所收录的眼科学期刊历年被引用论文数的统计,发现期刊被引用论文数在期刊出版后的3~5年达到峰值,然后又下降;期刊的被引频次也呈现同样的被引分布。因此可以通过计算期刊3年前发表论文在统计当年被引用的论文数与期刊3年前发表论文总数的比值来作为期刊年被引论文率,期刊年被引论文率可以作为反映期刊论文被利用概率大小的测度指标。进一步随机选择生物学基础学类、大气科学类、水产学类、数学类、冶金工程技术类期刊,计算出期刊年被引论文率,对其与其他文献计量学指标做相关分析,期刊年被引论文率与总被引频次、影响因子、即年指标、被引半衰期、h指数等均无相关性。由此期刊年被引论文率不能作为评价期刊学术影响力的指标,但是它能反映出期刊论文发表后被引用概率的大小,能提供给作者论文发表在哪些杂志上被引的可能性更大,哪个杂志受读者的关注度更高。这些信息对于读者选择期刊投稿非常有用,对于研究人员评价期刊的整体被利用程度也有一定的作用。
