冲裁时,凸模将压力机的压力施加于放置在凹模表面上的板料上,使一部分板料沿着一定的冲裁轮廓线与另一部分板料分离。当凸模和凹模的刃口分别切入板料后,两刃口连线附近的区域是冲裁的主要塑性变形区。其应力应变状态见图1所示,是轴对称问题。此外,正象一块四周被支承的圆板,中心受到一集中载荷作用而产生弯曲一样,冲裁时板料一般在凹模内也会产生拱弯并发生塑性弯
