Abstract art is one of the most important genres in the modernist genre. As China’s contemporary abstract art sprouted in Shanghai in the 1930s, by the 1950s, abstract art was once deemed to be unobtainable by the general public due to changes in the Chinese literary policy Accepted decadent art, Shanghai was gradually becoming the center of Chinese abstract art after the reform and opening up. However, the abstract art still occupies a small proportion of the entire official art exhibition, and is rarely paid attention to in the art market. However, all this does not detract from the academic value of abstract art, but instead displays a maverick free style. Facing this long-suppressed and promising art, we have seen that it has shown its vitality through a series of exhibitions, publications and seminars in recent years. At the beginning of the Year of the Ox, the Abstract Art Institute of Shanghai Gesture Magazine, a fake seat angle, invited some experts to talk about the current status and practical significance of abstract art in contemporary China.
