食荚豌豆(Pisum sativum)是近年市场上常见的蔬菜。豆荚壁厚鲜嫩,适宜生食、凉拌或炒菜。上市时间又比四季豆早。由于它适宜冷冻环境,重庆、昆明等地保护地种植在冬季的市场上也常有食荚豌豆出售。这里介绍2个品种: 荷仁豆 1986年从日本引进,在上海市远近郊区10月底播种,全生育期195—201天。株高140—175厘米,茎杆空心,蔓生,攀缘力差。单株有效分枝6个左右。复叶淡绿色,基部有一对大托叶;叶腋抽出总状花序,花白色。单茎有效结荚11个以上,花后25—50天可收
