如果琵琶音柱对音响效果的影响类同于小提琴的音柱的活,那么可以下如此结论:按传统方法制作的琵琶都不可能发出应有的最佳音响。因为音柱几乎密封在琴箱里,不可能进行调整。实际上问題也并非如此严重,琵琶音桂的敏感度比提琴差,另外,对于具有丰富制作经验的工人来说,音柱的位置和松紧度已了如指掌,故矛盾可以由丰富的实践经验所解决。但由此也道出了普通琵琶音响为什么差的一点原因,说明工艺上的处理还存在一定程度的盲目性。
