Through the analysis of the Years of Potential Life Loss Year (YPLL) at the 1990 disease surveillance point in China, the study concludes that the seven types of deaths that are the most serious health hazards to the labor force population aged 1 to 65 in China are: accidental death, tumor, and respiration. Department of diseases, infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, digestive diseases and cerebrovascular diseases. There are significant differences between men and women and between urban and rural areas. The analysis of dynamic changes shows that the damage of heart and cerebrovascular diseases has been reduced in recent years, while the harm of respiratory diseases has been greatly increased. It is suggested that we should adopt multi-faceted preventive and health care measures for the above seven main causes of death, and pay attention to the different priorities of people of different genders and regions in order to protect the labor force more effectively.
