1949年10月1日中华人民共和国成立。中国邮政事业开始了新篇章(图1)。作为国家邮政,首先承担着邮政普遍服务的职能。中国邮政坚持“人民邮政为人民”的服务宗旨,贯彻执行“迅速、准确、安全、方便”的服务方针。其主要业务包括:国内、国际函件(信函、明信片)业务(图2);印刷品业务;包裹业务;以及邮政汇兑业务等。同时,对邮政局、所的设置和营业服务时间、业务项目;信箱(筒)的设置和开取频次;投递和时限等业务指标,以及服务质量的提高(图3),都有一定的要求。
October 1, 1949 The People’s Republic of China was established. China’s postal service started a new chapter (Figure 1). As a national postal service, we first assume the function of universal postal service. China Post adheres to the principle of “People’s Post for the People” and carries out its service policy of “prompt, accurate, safe and convenient”. Its main business includes: domestic and international letters (letters, postcards) business (Figure 2); print business; parcel business; and the postal exchange business. At the same time, there are certain requirements for post offices, setting of business hours, business items, frequency of setting and opening of mailboxes (boxes), business indicators such as delivery and time limits, and improvement of service quality (Figure 3).
