Although post-structuralism is mostly based on linguistic inquiry, it integrates with the postmodernist theory for obscure objects of common concern. Post-structuralism precedes postmodernism and proposes language as a signifier, while post-modernism holds that anything as a signifier is flawed. Through the analysis of post-structuralism by Maurice Zap in David Lodge’s satirical novel Little World and the uncertainty of his literary text, this postmodernist critique of the world Attractive but constantly confusing so that postmodernism itself is embarrassed, which in turn inspires us to reflect on the social life in the postmodern world.
