1叶菜类食物蔬菜类,包括西方人常吃的生菜,它之所以危险,最主要的原因是由于它未经适当清洗。蔬菜常被生吃或被制成生菜沙拉来吃,如果不够清洁,蔬菜很容易被大肠杆菌污染。绿叶蔬菜可能在农场中因接触到野生动物、粪便、不洁水份,或因农夫收割时不注意卫生而受到污染,继而不断滋生病菌,即使收割后洗过,也并不保证可以安全食用。
