嵊县中医院为全民所有制医疗机构,成立于1981年7月1日。现有医疗用房3300m~2,在编职工185人,其中卫技人员156人,具有中高级职称者27人。年门诊量20多万人次,住院2000多人次,已成为一所初具规模的县级综合性中医院,是该县中医医、教、研的基地。1992年通过“一级乙类中医院”评审,同时获“文明中医院”称号。自建院以来,医院始终坚持中医特色的办院方向,业务水平不断提高,社会声誉日益扩大。医院设有门诊部、住院部、急诊室和其它医技科室。科室设置较为完善。目前医院固定资产200多万元,其中医疗器械总值100万元。主要设备有日产阿洛卡B超,奥林巴斯胃镜,日本F—800自动血球分析仪,16导脑电图仪,200mA X线机,美产氧脉监护仪;推按运经仪,导平仪,心电监护仪等。在业务建设方面内外科能用中西两法治疗常见病,多发病,并能解决危急重症,能开展肺、食道、肝、胆、脾、胃、甲状腺、大肠等普外与肿瘤手术,四
