In France, as a secondary school principal, the law gives it a dual role: on behalf of the country, ensuring that education as a public service works well; and school superintendents, who administer the school by presiding over the school council. In the context of knowledge economy and promotion of social equality, secondary schools play an increasingly important role in the education system and even in society as a whole. Secondary schools and secondary school principals undertake new missions. The society also has new demands on the roles and qualifications of secondary school principals.
