提起高科技城市,硅谷所在的圣何塞、以色列的特拉维夫、印度的班加罗尔(Bangalor),名闻遐迩。但在新经济思潮下,各地一个个高科技城市正不断崛起。最新一期的美国《新闻周刊》介绍了九个新兴高科技城市,这些城市之所以成功,离不开政府的支持、人才、基础设施等因素。苏州工业园中新合作中国苏州历史上以出产丝绸及稻米闻名,但随着两大科技工业园——苏州工业园区及苏州新区先后诞生,苏州已摇身成为中国的高新科技中心之一。截至2000年,两大工业园以雄厚的工业基础、人才资源、优惠的税务贸易政策,共招揽富士通及飞利浦等550家企业前往投资,投资额逾80亿美元,创造职位8万个。主要工业为个人电脑的定点设备,如滑鼠、液晶显示器等,在世界市场有很高占有率。
High-tech cities like San Jose in Silicon Valley, Tel Aviv in Israel and Bangalore in India are famous. However, under the new economic trend of thought, high-tech cities around the world are constantly rising. The latest issue of the United States, “Newsweek” describes nine emerging high-tech cities, the success of these cities can not do without government support, talent, infrastructure and other factors. Suzhou-Suzhou New Cooperation in Industrial Park Suzhou, China, was historically famous for producing silk and rice, but Suzhou has transformed itself into one of China's high-tech centers with the birth of two major science and technology parks, Suzhou Industrial Park and Suzhou New District. By the year 2000, the two industrial parks have invested 550 companies, including Fujitsu and Philips, in a solid industrial foundation, human resources and preferential tax trade policies with an investment of more than 8 billion U.S. dollars and 80,000 jobs. The main industries for the personal computer pointing devices, such as mice, LCD monitors, etc., have a high market share in the world.
